Drip Cover for Extended Tools
For sharpening long tools that might overhang the trough’s edge, such as lengthy knives or planer blades, the AWT-250 includes a specially designed drip cover. This cover easily attaches to the trough’s edge, directing excess water back into the trough and ensuring a cleaner sharpening environment.
The AWT-250 Advanced Water Trough is specifically designed to fit the Tormek T-7, Tormek 2000, and older models equipped with a 250 mm (9 7/8″) grinding wheel, offering an enhanced sharpening experience with its advanced features.
Magnetic Particle Collection
The AWT-250 is equipped with an integral magnet that captures steel particles generated during sharpening, keeping the grindstone clean and functional. Without this feature, particles could embed in the grindstone, diminishing its abrasive qualities. When it’s time to clean the trough, the collected particles can be easily wiped away with a paper towel.
